Today, we’re pleased to talk about OpenCart in this blog post.

OpenCart is a powerful open source shopping cart system for E-Commerce stores. It comes with a very user-friendly admin area, allowing you to manage every aspect (including tracking your sales) of your online store on PC, laptops and even mobile phones.

Once you’ve install OpenCart, you will be surprised to learn that there are over 10,000 additional extensions available for download, making it perfect for E-Commerce stores of any size and industry.

To get started, let’s talk about “How to install OpenCart onto your website/e-store”.

By the way, do you know it takes only 5 minutes to setup an OpenCart account? It’s really simple and straightforward. Let’s find out how it’s done.

Step 1: Log into your cPanel account.

Step 2: Once you’re logged in, scroll down until you see “Software and Services”.cpanel2

Step 3:  In the left side search bar, key in ‘OpenCart’ and search.cpanel3

Step 4  – Once you’re on the OpenCart page, all you need to do is click on the ‘Install’ button.

Step 5:  Next, fill in the information under “Software Setup”.

First, you will have to choose the version you want to install. Next, for the ‘Choose Protocol’ field, you should choose HTTP if your website does not have an SSL certificate. If your website is installed with an SSL certificate, choose HTTPS. After this, fill in your domain name for the ‘Choose Domain’ field. Lastly, for the ‘In Directory’ field, leave it blank if you want OpenCart to install in the root directory for your domain.

Step 6: Scroll down. It’s time to fill in the information under “Store Settings”. Key in the information about your business or website.

Step 7: In this step, you can change your username and password (recommended).
Tips: you can use the “generate a random password” function to generate a strong password.  Next, don’t forget to fill in “Admin Email”.

Step 8: Fill in your email address for the “Email installation details” field to receive the details of your OpenCart configurations.

Once you’re done filling in all the details, all you need to do is click on the ‘Install’ button. You can now create your E-Commerce site with OpenCart.
