What’s your background?
ODORE started in June 2011 as a distributor of naturally-based well-being essentials such as candles and body care necessities. These products are non-genetically modified organisms, involve no animal testing, and contain no sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, and petroleum-derivatives.
In Singapore, ODORE is the authorised distributor for handcrafted candles scented with essential oils from Living Light (New Zealand), natural pure bodycare range from Linden Leaves (New Zealand), organic bodycare range from Trillium Organics (US) and handcrafted dichroic glass jewellery from Liquid Crystal Australia.
Over time, to adapt to changing business environment, and in response to Customer evolving needs, ODORE has focused its resources on developing its own brand of products for managing skin problems and body pain.
Consequently, since 2015, ODORE has launched its own line of products, including aloe vera gels, carrier oils, essential oils, floral waters, magnesium oils, massage oils, shampoo, conditioner, room diffusers, air sprays, and bug repellent sprays.
Through these products, ODORE demonstrates its continual commitment to offer affordable, naturally-based products that serve as remedies for skin problems and pain relief, and for enhancing home and work environments.
And this year, ODORE was one of the winners of the Singapore Prestige Brand Award 2018 (Micro Brand Category).
What kind of business do you run?
ODORE’s organisational mission is to offer affordable and high quality naturally-based products that may serve as alternative remedies for skin problems and pain relief. Such products will be non-genetically modified organisms, involve no animal testing, and contain no sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens, and petroleum-derivatives.
Where are you headed as a business?
As ODORE focus is to offer affordable and high quality naturally-based products that may serve as alternative remedies for skin problems and pain relief, our target markets are countries where skin problems and body aches are common and frequent issues, such as countries in South-East Asia

Do not simply jump on any bandwagon. Instead, think carefully about what gaps in consumer needs do you want your business to fulfill. Then bounce off your ideas with people you trust. If you decide to go ahead, think about your own strengths and weaknesses, the available resources you have, and also what sacrifices you have to make. As you will have a long journey ahead of you with many depressing moments, will you likely to have support from your family? Once you have decided to proceed with your business, forge ahead and believe in yourself, do not look back.
