MALAYSIA, 6 August, 2014 – The Exabytes Group launched the country’s first integrated logistics service platform, EasyParcel which combines five logistics and shipping service providers such as Poslaju, Skynet, Airpax, Nationwide and DHL into a single integrated e-commerce platform.
The great news was announced by the group’s CEO and founder, Mr. Chan Kee Siak in a press conference held at Exabytes SetiaWalk office.
Among the twenty local print and broadcast media which attended the press conference were RTM, TV3, Sin Chew Daily, Kwong Wah Jit Poh, New Straits Times, The Star, Big Orange Media and Bernama TV.
CEO Chan was quoted as saying that EasyParcel is actively looking to partner with more logistics providers to extend the platform with international shipping options which include players such as DHL, TnT, UPS and FedEx.
“Our team was inspired by the concept of online hotel booking adopted by websites such as ‘Booking.com’, which serves as a hotel search point for the best hotel deals and packages,” Chan added.
Mr. Clarence Leong, CTO to Exabytes Venture and Mr Frost, CEO to Exabytes eCommerce also present at the press conference.
In conjunction with the launch of EasyParcel, Chan also announced a big milestone of Exabytes Group, the 100% acquisition of USONYX Pte. Ltd (‘USONYX’) in bid to gain immediate market share and extended leadership position in the Southeast Asia region’s Web hosting sector.
USONYX was a wholly-owned Singapore subsidiary of Japanese company, Clara Online.
USONYX provides server hosting services to small and medium sized companies and was established in 2006 with a customer-base of over 3000 corporations, SMEs and other users.
