Exabytes X IMDA’s Digital For Life Festival 2022
With the rapid evolution of technology, digitalisation has become a need in our daily lives.
In addition to that, with the pandemic, it has caused individuals to switch to digital technology to follow the new norm.
This has not only affected working adults but also youths. Youths are forced to switch their learning method to online with the help of digitalisation.
As such, it is vital for youths to be well educated in the field of digitalisation.
To help the youths in Singapore to adapt to digitalisation, Exabytes and Cyber Youth Singapore (CYS) are partnering up to organise multiple workshop sessions at IMDA’s Digital for Life Festival to educate the youths in Singapore on digitalisation.
Through this campaign, we wish to enhance digital literacy amongst youths in Singapore and give them the digital resources needed for them to have the opportunity and experience to build their online presence..
Besides, another major collaboration that has helped us in making this event successful is with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
IMDA being the organiser of the Digital For Life movement in 2021, it is an honour for us at Exabytes to be able to work with them and organise the second phase of the Digital for Life movement in 2022 in partnership with CYS.
With IMDA working closely with Exabytes and CYS, the Digital For Life Festival will further achieve its goal of helping youths in Singapore to go digital.
The Digital for Life movement was launched by President Halimah Yacob in 2021 to help move Singaporeans towards a more digitally inclusive society.
Exabytes and CYS are joining the Digital For Life Festival as a part of the many movements that includes Tech for Life to give citizens a better quality of life through technology.
The Digital For Life Festival will run for 9 days from 21st May until 29th May 2022 and will take place online and onsite.
Moreover, the Digital for Life Festival is one of the movement’s activities to encourage all Singaporeans to embrace digital learning as a lifetime endeavour.
The Digital for Life Festival brings individuals from all walks of life together from all around Singapore to learn, explore, and participate in technology.
Youths will also learn about the importance of cyber wellness and how digital opens up new doors, improves lives, and empowers the vulnerable through this festival.
We at Exabytes and CYS are organising this event to bridge the digital divide allowing equal opportunities for all youths, to foster digital literacy ensuring youths are well educated in digitalisation and lastly to inspire youths for good as digitalisation will be helpful and useful for youths as they move forward in life.
With our guided workshop, we will be assisting youths in their web building journey and educate them on the know-how of starting an online presence.
